Fill Frames Automation

Fill Frames automation intelligently populates empty image frames with photos from your library. This feature streamlines the image placement process, allowing you to fill multiple frames at once instead of dragging images individually.

How Fill Frames Works

eDesign recognizes shapes with the standard gray fill color as potential image frames. Open the image placement tools and click Fill Frames. Choose whether you want to fill empty frames only, selected frames, or all frames on the layout. eDesign will then populate those frames with images from your selected image set.

Selecting Images for Fill Frames

Before clicking Fill Frames, select the images you want to use. You can be specific and combine images from multiple topic filters. You can also narrow results to unused images only or favorite images only. If you want to select all images in a filtered group, click Select All Filtered.

Rearranging Images with Shuffle

After frames are filled, use the Shuffle Images command to rearrange which image goes in which frame. With no frames selected, Shuffle Images rotates all images among all available frames. If you select specific frames, Shuffle Images will only rotate images within those selected frames, giving you precise control over the layout.

💡 TIP: Use Shuffle Images repeatedly until you find the arrangement that best showcases your photos and balances the visual flow of the page.
