Adobe Express: Drawing Custom Lines and Shapes

Use Adobe Express to draw custom paths, doodles, or outlines and add them to your yearbook pages. Here’s how:

  • Open an image in Adobe Express via the Edit button in your Candids library or art library.
  • Hover over Add Content in the upper left and choose Elements.
  • Go to Shapes and click View All. Scroll down to find Draw Shape and click it.
  • In the Draw Shape panel, choose your border style (line type), thickness, and color. Use the eyedropper to sample a color directly from your image.
  • While the draw tool is active, click and drag on the canvas to draw your path or outline.
  • Adjust thickness and other properties after drawing to refine the look.
  • When finished, click Done. Then click in the gray area and set the background to No Fill for a transparent background.
  • Click Publish — the artwork returns to your eDesign library.

This feature is useful for creating outlines around cutouts, custom signatures, or decorative squiggles. Access it any time from Add Content > Elements > Shapes > Draw Shape.
