Hello, everyone. My name is Mark. Welcome to this webinar on eDesign for advisors and editors. In this session, we’re going to cover the things you need to know to get eDesign up and running for the year and to help you take advantage of some of the efficiencies eDesign offers to make your yearbooking year a lot easier.

If you’re watching this live, I have a colleague online with me who will respond to any questions you place in the questions pod. Now, some of you have been through yearbooking before. Maybe you are a returning advisor or an editor who was on the staff in a previous year. But for some advisors listening, this is all completely new.

Just know that this is an orientation. There are a lot of resources to help you and to extend on the things we learn today. We’ll be using a very helpful document as the structure for this session that guides you through everything we’ll cover. Treat this as an orientation to get the lay of the land and understand what’s available.

You log in at myvarsityyearbook.com. As an advisor, you’ll use the credentials you received via an enrollment email. Students or editors use credentials from last year, or new ones set up by your advisor. When you log in, you are taken to the eDesign home screen with options that differ a bit by role.

Up on the top left is your message board. You post messages here and anyone on the staff can see them when they log in. Sticky notes added to pages in Page Design are also reflected here in the message board. You’ll also get system messages such as notifications about new images received through eShare.
