Text Graphics

Let’s look at how to use eDesign with Adobe Express to create cool headline treatments. Inside the art library, go to your import menu and choose Create an Adobe Express design. Open any canvas size — a square canvas works well as a blank starting point.

Select the Text option in Adobe Express. You can add your own text or browse their categories. Look under Headlines and click View All to access all available headline styles. Choose a style that fits your vision, select all the text, and resize it to fill the canvas using the corner handles (which scale proportionally).

Double-click individual words to change their fonts. Use the corner handles to resize elements proportionally, and the middle handles if you want to stretch without scaling. Layer multiple text elements — a headline, a sub-headline, and a color bar — to build a complete graphic treatment.

Adjust colors, sizes, and positions until everything feels balanced. Before publishing, click outside all elements and set your background to transparent so there’s no white box when you place the graphic on a spread.

Click Publish and the text graphic saves directly to your eDesign art library. Use these headline treatments to create eye-catching title pages, section dividers, and pull-quote graphics.
