Moving Items Between Libraries

Transcript

There are four sections of the library into which you can upload photos. Candids will be the section into which you upload the vast majority of your photos. Portraits will house the portraits that you get from your official school photographer, but you may need to upload the occasional portrait to folks who didn’t have their portrait made on portrait day. Under art, you will have all the art that you activate from the Herff Jones catalog, as well as custom graphics you create from Canva, but you can also upload graphics or artwork that you’d like to live in this part of the library. And then there’s the ad section, which will house images that you upload to be used in ads, or completed ad artwork that comes back from online ad creation if you’re using that service.

Sometimes you may upload an item into one part of the library and wish you had placed it in another. For instance, under Candids, I have this piece of art that I’d really rather have in the art library. So I’m going to right click or control click on it and choose move to art, and it’s going to migrate that item over to the art section of the library. Same thing here: I uploaded this portrait, and I really should have uploaded it into the portrait section, so I’m going to choose move to portraits. Now when I go to portraits, I’ll see that portrait has migrated over. And when I go to art, I’ll see that piece of artwork has migrated over.

I’ll go back to Candids, and let’s say this should belong in the ad section because this is for a senior ad. I could right click on it and choose move to ads. Then when I come over here to ads, I’ll see that it’s been added. Or if I made a mistake and want to go back to Candids, I can do that. So just like that, you can easily move items between the different sections of the library.
