Let’s take a look at how we can use Adobe Express to make some cool edits to images. Working from your Candids library, right-click and choose Edit. You can also use the Edit button beneath the image preview. Clicking it opens the image in Adobe Express.
Under Edit, we’ll look at Adjust. This lets you do basic enhancements for your photos. If you’ve got something taken in poor lighting, you can adjust the saturation and warmth to make it warmer or cooler. Play with shadows and highlights using the granular controls in this panel.
Under Effects, click View All to see the full range of available filters. These are predefined filters formulated by Adobe. As you apply them, you’ll see toggle controls that let you dial the intensity up or down — for example, adjusting the strength of a sepia effect or making an image look dreamy.
Under Tones, you can experiment with duotones. Click a preset like Emerald to get a black-and-green treatment by default. Click Custom to take more control — swap out the default colors for ones that match your spread’s palette using the eyedropper tool to pull exact colors from your image.
All changes are reflected live in the canvas. When you’re satisfied, save the image back to your eDesign library. Adobe Express gives you powerful creative options right from within eDesign without needing any external software.
