Use these controls to zoom in on details and navigate around your spread in Page Design:
- Zoom menu: Select a zoom percentage from the menu to zoom in or out.
- Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+/– (Windows) or Cmd+/– (Mac).
- Zoom with selection: Select an object, then zoom — the view centers on that object.
- Zoom tool: Click and drag around the area you want to zoom into.
- Navigate when zoomed in: Use the scroll bars, scroll wheel, or trackpad to move.
- Keyboard shortcut: press H to use the Hand tool and click-drag to pan. Press Esc to return to the Selection tool.
- Fit to window: Click the Fit to Window button or press Ctrl/Cmd+0 to see the full spread.
- Tip for Mac trackpad users: By default, a two-finger swipe left triggers the browser Back command, which can close your Page Design session. Go to Mac System Settings > Trackpad > Gestures, to turn this off.
