Tag Wizard: Beyond the Basics

This tutorial covers advanced Tag Wizard features including removing unwanted frames, adding frames manually, updating the name list from within Tag Wizard, and using Auto Rows for group photos.

  • Remove untagged frames individually: Click the X on any face frame, or click X next to the name in the panel to remove that frame.
  • Remove multiple untagged frames at once: Click Remove Untagged and choose to remove only red frames or all unconfirmed frames. Confirm the action to clear them in one step.
  • Add a face frame manually: If someone wasn’t detected automatically (or a frame was accidentally removed), click Add Face Frame, then drag to draw a frame around the person. Search for their name in the panel to confirm the tag.
  • Add a name to the name list from within Tag Wizard: If a name you need isn’t in the list, click Manage Name List. The name list opens in a new tab — add the name there, close the tab, and the name will be available immediately for tagging.
  • Auto Rows (for group photos):
    • Open Face Tagging on a group photo and confirm all matches (click Confirm All if they’re all correct).
    • Click Show Rows — Tag Wizard automatically organizes names into rows (front row, second row, back row, etc.) based on face positions in the image.
    • Drag and drop names to reorder them within a row, or drag between rows to reassign. Use the arrows to reorder the rows themselves.
    • Click Add Row to create a custom row if the group doesn’t have clearly defined rows.
    • Not Pictured: Click Add Not Pictured and search for the name to include someone who should appear in the caption but isn’t visible in the photo.

See the Caption Builder tutorial for how to use Auto Rows data to automatically generate group captions.
