Tag Wizard uses facial recognition to identify students in photos. This tutorial covers the core tagging workflow. For full details on all features, also review the Tag Wizard in Action PDF guide.
- Show Face Matches: In the Library, open an image and click Show Face Matches in the tagging panel. Tag Wizard scans the image and suggests matches. Check the boxes to confirm tags. Best for images with just a few people.
- Open Face Tagging (the most powerful method): Click Open Face Tagging in the tagging panel. Tag Wizard scans the image, places frames around every face, and shows suggestions with 90%+ confidence.
- Confirm a match: Click the checkmark button, or double-click the name row. Confirmed frames turn green.
- Confirm all: If you’ve reviewed all matches and they’re correct, click Confirm All to move everything to confirmed at once.
- Navigate: Click a face frame to highlight the matching name in the panel, or click a name to flash the corresponding face frame. Use Zoom to Face to center the view on a specific face.
- Frame colors explained:
- Yellow: Tag Wizard has a suggested match — review and confirm.
- Green: Confirmed match.
- Red: Face detected but no portrait match found. Click Search, find the name, and confirm — Tag Wizard will learn this face for future images.
- Blue: Face matched to a portrait, but the portrait isn’t linked to a name list record. Click Search, find the correct name, and confirm to create the connection.
