Templates and Mods are placed from the Library panel in Page Design. Here’s how:
- Place a template: Open the Templates section of the library panel. Drag and drop a template onto the page — it drops perfectly into position.
- When content already exists on the spread:
- Replace — removes the current content and places the new template (useful for trying different layouts; use Undo if you change your mind).
- Add — places the template without removing existing content.
- Preview before placing: Hover over a template thumbnail and click the expand icon to open the Preview panel. You can drag and drop from the Preview panel to place.
- Locked objects: If a Delete fails because of a locked object, click the padlock icon to unlock all selected objects, then delete.
- Place a Mod: Drag the Mod from the library panel. Position its top-left corner where you want it before releasing — it drops in place from that corner. Everything in the mod is initially selected so you can reposition it immediately.
