Preparing Your Data
- Enter the custom information (e.g., teacher subject areas, student quotes) in the Custom Text field for each portrait in the Portrait Library.
- The Custom Text field is what Portrait Flow will pull from when flowing this additional text frame.
Setting Up the Flow
- Go to the Book module → Edit → Portrait Flow → create a new flow.
- Select the group to flow (e.g., faculty).
- Set a larger portrait size (e.g., 8×10 picas) to leave room for text below each portrait.
- In the Text area, set text position to Below the portrait.
- Select Custom Text as the additional field to flow.
- Set the Character Style for names and a separate character style for the custom text.
- Adjust the distance of the custom text frame from the portrait if needed.
Adjusting Spacing
- In Spacing and Margins, increase vertical spacing to make room for the height of the custom text frame.
- Adjust horizontal spacing to spread out the portraits as desired.
- Use Live Preview to confirm the layout with your actual portrait data before flowing.
When the preview looks correct, click Flow to place portraits with name and custom text frames on the pages.
