Assigning Users to Pages

Two Levels of Page Access

  • Edit: the user can open and edit the page, but their name does not appear in the Ladder view.
  • Assign: the user has edit rights AND is designated as responsible for the page — their name appears in the Ladder view.

This lets advisers give editing access to editors or the full staff while still showing specific name assignments in the Ladder.

Assigning Users

  1. Select the pages in the Ladder — the Assign panel appears.
  2. You’ll see two columns: Edit and Assign.
    • Checking Assign automatically enables Edit — you cannot be assigned without edit rights.
    • Revoking Edit also removes the Assignment.
    • A user with Assign checked will have their name appear in the Ladder.
    • A user with only Edit checked can edit, but their name is not shown in the Ladder.

Give a User Edit Rights to All Pages

  • In Staff Setup, check the Can edit all pages box for that user.
  • This gives edit rights to every page in the book, but does not assign them to every page — their name will not appear in the Ladder for all pages.
